Ingredients for 1 sheet chocolate brownies:
- 250 grams flour
- 200 grams butter
- 250 grams dark chocolate
- 250 grams white sugar
- 150 grams brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 sachets vanilla sugar
- 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder
Kitchen Helper/Gadgets:

- Saucepan to melt butter-sugar-mixture
- Whisk

Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Heat up a saucepan over medium heat adding 200 grams butter, 250 grams white sugar, 150 grams brown sugar & 2 sachets vanilla sugar & allow to melt while stirring constantly with a whisk. Keep on stirring until the mixture is completely melted & starts to simmer, then allow to simmer for about ½ minute while stirring and pull the saucepan from heat afterwards.
Next, add 250 grams dark chocolate to the hot butter-sugar-mixture & stir in until completely melted, then allow the chcolate-mixture to cool down a bit & set aside for about 5 – 10 minutes.
…for the brownies:
In a mixing bowl whisk up 4 eggs, then stir in the cooled chocolate-mixture until everything is well combined. Now add the dry ingedients (250 grams of flour, 1 heaping teaspoon of baking powder & 4 tablespoons cocoa powder) and use a hand mixer or a whisk to stir in until a thick & sticky batter.
Spread the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet & bake in the preheated oven for about 20 – 25 minutes.
Get the brownies out of the oven, allow to cool for about 10 minutes & then cut into squares with a knife & serve still warm.
