I bake today: Chocolate Biscuit Buns

Ingredient for 8 – 10 Chocolate Biscuit Buns:
- 500 Gram flour
- 100-150 Gram chocolate drops
- 2 Eggs
- 250 Millilitre of lukewarm milk
- 1 Cube fresh yeast
- 50 Gram Butter
- 50 Gram Sugar
- 1 Package vanilla sugar
Kitchen Helper:
- Blender / Food Processor
- Brush to mop sth.
- Kitchen towel
- Baking sheet + baking paper
Preparation…
Add the flour into a mixing bowl, do a whole in the middle of the flour and fill in the lukewarm milk. Afterwards crumb 1 cube of yeast into the milk with 50 grams of sugar and stir everything with a fork until the yeast has dissolved in the milk. Let the yeast-flour mixture rest for 10-15 minutes.
Subsequently, add 50 grams of butter, chocolate drops, 1 egg and 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and knead everything, with a blender or food processor, for 5 – 10 minutes until it has become a smooth dough.
…Chocolate Biscuit Buns:
Spread some flour on the worktop, put the smooth dough on it and also add some flour on the dough. Globe the dough and put it into a bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel and let the dough prove for 30 minutes.
Form the dough into a thick ‘sausage’ roll and cut it into 8-10 equal sized pieces. Afterwards form each piece into a round bun and place it on a baking sheet (with baking paper). Cover the buns with a kitchen towel and let the dough prove again for 30 minutes..
Meanwhile, preheat the oven up to 200 degrees (top and bottom heat). Add 1 egg into a cup or small bowl, whisk it and generously brush it on each bun. After that put the baking sheet into the oven and bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until they have a ‘gold brown’ color. Afterwards remove them from the oven and cover the baking sheet with a kitchen towel, which makes them stay soft.
